To Lee, With Love, Nick (and many others for sure)…
Here I share with you an intense moment: the Tribute to Alexander McQueen by Nick Knight, a photographer who’s pictures are much more famous than his name, at least for me. (starting from the Red bustle and Red coat by Yamamoto to the moste representative shootings for Lee himself.)
Music for it is an unreleased song by Björk, also dedicated to her friend; the project is produced by SHOWstudio, a fashion website created by Knight who says:
“SHOWstudio is based on the belief that showing the entire creative process—from conception to completion—is beneficial for the artist, the audience and the art itself.”
and the pieces of Mcqueen’s archive are styled by Edward Enninful that has been famous also for being the youngest i-D Fashion Editor ever.
Some news I’ve found speak about a film about the designer’s life. I think Maybe it’s too soon…or not? I just keep waiting for new collections under his name…pretending for 10 seconds nothing happened, because he was one of THE persons I want to meet.
