It’s not that usual to find a young fashion designer that shows a first collection during the official calendar of the Paris Fashion Week; but the Dutch designer Steffie Christiaens did, on a beautiful sunny almost-spring Sunday in Paris. Steffie Christiaens established her Paris studio in 2010 to pursue a conceptual design process through womens & mens ready-to-wear collections.
On February 13th something special happened in the fashion world. But let’s start from the beginning. As the Fashion Bible states: “And Karl said, Let there be designers’ capsule collections: and there were designers’ capsule collections.” After Karl for H&M nearly everyone made a capsule for any brand you can imagine. And many designers and celebrities collaborated on the Opening Ceremony, which actually is pretty famous for being super hipster and cool and extremely designer-friendly.
