Innovation is increasingly rare to find in the myriad of products we stumble upon every day. Sometimes it is almost depressing, wandering through events not to see anything new. Thankfully there are exceptions made up of people who can see beyond the barriers of aesthetic cliches. Chiara Scarpitti is one of these exceptions, her jewels are very special, they are created by a mixture of different materials which define a strong style.
Fien de Graaf is without doubt a jewellery designer out of the ordinary, she sectioned the body transforming its parts into pieces to wear. “With our appearance we can give expression to who we are. Nowadays, the prevailing beauty ideal plays an important role and has a big influence on how we want to appear to the world. What do we consider as perfect beauty? Fiona Paxton is a London-based designer creating striking hand-beaded necklaces, earrings and cuffs in geometric patterns and launched her own label in 2008 after 15 years of experience as a textile designer.
