Stefanel’s 50th anniversary @LuisaViaRoma with CooperativeDesigns
Some days ago Ariko and I went to LuisaViaRoma store to have a look on a collaboration between a big brand and upcoming and young designers…(who not always happen to be really young, or upcoming)…but this time it really was!
The Collection created by the design duo CooperativeDesigns who do crazy b&w stripes and met at CSM College was animating the store’s yard and bar.

Here the designers! young and smiling Annalisa Dunn and Dorothee Hagemann that we interviewed:
- How did it come to this collaboration?
- We were approached by Stefanel to design a collection to celebrate their 50th birthday. We were so excited to be approached.
- Did the themes for the collection come from the company or was it a proposal you made on your own-what are the themes-guidelines of the collection?
- The brief was really open, to design 10 outfits inspired by their archives. We had total design freedom. We looked through their archives, and came up with a series of designs to propose.
- What are the positive and the negative differences in creating for a big group as Stefanel or for your own brand?
- Working with Stefanel was incredible. Their factory is so skilled, they could do anything we asked for. Seeing the production was incredible. They have replicated our designs perfectly, the standard is so high, we are thrilled.
Here you are when collaboration works!
