If Miuccia played soccer, she’d wear New Order

I saw the Brazilian brand New Order at last edition of Pitti W, the part of Pitti Uomo dedicated to showcasing women’s fashions.

Although they got a stand full of very nice pieces of clothing, they explained me that actually New Order is an accessories brand, and that those dresses were made only for the fashion show, held in Rio, where New Order was the first Brazilian accessories brand ever to have its own dedicated fashion show in the official calendar of the catwalks.

The new collection is all about soccer, but the nice thing is they didn’t just pick soccer shoes and garments and cover them with sequins, I mean they didn’t read soccer as a commonplace, but they made a clever re interpretation of some single elements made structural for bags and shoes, like the hexagonal cells of the soccer ball used to make bags or as laser-cut holes on leather, the stripes of the soccer shirts used on shoes, or the giant plastic whistle which is actually a cool bag.

I just regret that the dresses are not put into production, but just unique pieces: they are so Prada, and they match the accessories perfectly, giving the whole collection a funny and sophisticated allure!
