When sweets meet purses in a trip back in time
Walking through Paris in the famous Marais district, a place full of fashionable shops and charming boutiques, I came across Les Cakes de Bertrand’s store. At first I found the name quite bizarre, if you consider a fashion brand famous throughout the world for its romantic prints, but once I read the brand’s story, I got the whole picture. The brand was originally a patisserie during the late 90’s, but with time the amazing prints that adorned their sweets’ packaging became very popular accessories which recalled a kind of vintage style. Once in the shop, you can buy bags, purses or wallets as well as violettes box and chocolates that define the brand’s roots. I really like the graphic style; it reminds me of a vintage look seen through modern eyes. The interior design of the shop in Vieille du Temple is absolutely amazing; every object here enriches the value and style of the accessories displayed. There are also items of stationery like notebooks personalized with extremely romantic decorations and colors. A sensuous journey among elegant french ladies’ portraits.
