Lanvin for H&M

Lanvin ? H&M – Presentation of the Collaboration from Barracuda Film & TV on Vimeo.
Here we go again, another collaboration. The lucky agreement Famous Designer + H&M strikes again.
I must say that after the famous Karl Lagerfeld collections, all the other collaborations didn’t seem to turn out so well. Was it for the cheap fabrics or for the overall look, I didn’t manage to feel really excited about them.
But today I saw the video above showing the whole lookbook of the Lanvin collaboration and like the models in the video I was all like OH MY GOD. And if on November 23 I’ll happen to be in some city without H&M (yes, they do exist) I will be VERY, VERY disappointed. I think the collection will be sold out in minutes: especially the dresses look extremely easy yet stylish, the colour palette is fresh and happy, the floral pattern lookm just the way they should be… and looking at the sneek peek photos taken by Susie Bubble you would say that also the details are really well done! As Alber Elbaz himself says in the short interview above, actually, he liked to think that the concept was “H&M is going luxury” rather than “Lanvin is going public”. Clever.
And I really love the video. Alber Elbaz drawing, drawing, drawing… in the room of a hotel, while on the entire floor models (among them Natasha Poly and Irina Lazaeranu) wear his creations and act in mini-stories where the focus is always “All I want is Lanvin”.
How could I disagree?!
