JUHEE HAN: Knitted Bird

Korea meets London. Juhee Han, a newly graduate from the legendary fashion house Central Saint Martins, Han is a knitwear designer. She graduated from BA Fashion Design and Knitwear in 2011 and her graduation show, I must say is quite interesting. Her collection is knitwear combined with fur and metal accessories in bright colours; oranges, purple and tones of beige.

These carry a lot from the current trends with volumes as a reminder of the Stella McCartney, colours from Hermès, full faux fur dress from Giles. The cage like accessories are used both as belts and shirt tops, placing  birds over your shoulder! The metallic belts help accompany the look to an A+ catwalk styling overall. The bird like features of the big orange knit cape/jacket the longer silhouette the cages, the metal belts around the waist all point out to the same story: being free. Birds have broken out of their cages but still remains in the whereabouts of the crime scene.

It is almost as if Juhee Han herself is breaking through her shell.
