“It’s Me” in the place of Hopes and Dreams: Dina Linnik
When I was in Kiev I didn’t see Dina’s work, I discovered her in the vital network of creative friends on the web. We became friends on facebook, the collages she posted ever since started making me courious… Lately she posted an entire fashion collection shooting with beautiful balance in colors cuts and patterns…. was it her fabric design? her styling? her artistic direction? No. she said: It’s me!

J: what do you do in your life and for living? I’ve seen you do also a lot of fashion illustrations …
D: In my life, besides clothing design, I also do some illustration: fashion collages are my hobby! I’ve made a lot of portraits, using the collage technique.
“It’s me” is a very young brand, it’s almost only one year that I started!
J: when did you start your approach to clothing design?
D: I decide to create “it’s me” at my wedding journey, when I’ve been flying in the sky over Indonesia.
J: How was your “artistic education”?
D: I study at Kiev National University of Design and Technology.
J: What is it like to live and work in Kiev?
D: To work in Ukraine and to be designer is very difficult. Here we have very slow developing fashion industry, a small sales market, a bad working retail sector. This is all very sad, because In Ukraine there are a lot of veeery talented and hard working designers.
J: What did you look for in NY? Was it only for travelling or did you look there for something special?
D: I’ve been chosen as a winner of Bazaar Fashion Forward Award, as the best young fashion designer 2011. The reward was 2 weeks internships at the Catherine Malandrino fashion house!
