Fien de Graaf is without doubt a jewellery designer out of the ordinary, she sectioned the body transforming its parts into pieces to wear. “With our appearance we can give expression to who we are. Nowadays, the prevailing beauty ideal plays an important role and has a big influence on how we want to appear to the world. What do we consider as perfect beauty? Do we still have a realistic view of ourselves?” Of course it’s not easy to answer all these questions, beauty and personal knowledge are abstract concepts, it’s hard to enclose them only in few lines, but there are numerous ways to interpret these visions, the inner world can become the projection of a creative world, a place where everyone can see “parts” of themselves transformed in innovative objects.
