Experiments, Experiments…

The three dimension movement started in the cinemas first, then to an exclusive clientele by expensive home theater systems. Nowadays on the other hand, it became ordinary and almost on every corner right beside High Definition technology. So here I am, zoned out; literally, mentally left town while watching a documentary on a 3D television at my brothers house when I realized, Voilà! This freaky little thing is not only on a fifty something inch tv but inside your pocket! Timo Weiland, the young American talent moves up the market with Timo!Wallets. Timo explains that Timo!Wallets are how he learned to use a sewing machine and he has been expressing himself with these wallets since he was 17. As soon as he realized the potential in the niche market he launched the products that vary from collaborations with designers and also a 3-D version, on top of this, they are eco-friendly!
Besides the high tech accessory collection the brand has Timo.Weiland offers a well put, city-chic collection. Timo Weiland and Alan Eckstein encounter the smart chic look on a daily basis for both men and women in the streets of the big apple- New York, in order to create their fun and a tad bit retro artistic style. Personally I found their designs to be very original with a mild sense of 60s Ossie Clark plus vintage Yves Saint Laurent touch combined with the girlish charm -for boys-. The ruffled neck ties, bows, scarfs or any type of accessory is used for the embellishment of the neck is created by Timo and Alan, hence creating a new category in the fashion business; neckwear. The neckwear nascence on the set of Gossip Girl tv series with the character played by Ed Westwick and due to the highly sophisticated look it certainly was a hit!
Besides being the upcoming fashion duo, both Alan and Timo have affairs with arts such as painting, photography. In fact, the pattern and the prints used for the Timo!Wallets are what comes out from Timo Weiland’s lens. A powerful collaboration with Shal Ngo helps spread the name around. The director and editor of the short films, Shal Ngo uses Weiland designs. The short films are in a way experimental in the case of promotion of the collection and the brand. However, this works out just fine for a brand that is young and red-blooded, filled with innovative ideas that are both wearable and pragmatic. Therefore I gladly pronounce to you; Timo Weiland. The new empiricist in town.
