Esther Perbandt

Ho scoperto solo oggi il lavoro di una giovane designer berlinese, Esther Perbandt. Dopo essersi diplomata all’ IFM (Institut Français de Mode) di Parigi nel 2001, ha aperto un suo negozio a Berlino nel 2003. Da allora un successo crescente, specie fuori dalla Germania, in paesi come Giappone, Danimarca, Svizzera, Canada e… Italia! Sul suo sito (www.estherperbandt.com) Esther definisce il suo stile come “l’interazione tra elementi maschili e femminili, tra forza e sensibilità”: ed è una definizione che si presta bene ai suoi capi in cui linee fluide incontrano tagli netti, forme drappeggiate su forme geometriche. Le collezioni sono integrate dai bellissimi accessori, sia gioielli che borse, disegnati sempre da Esther e venduti anche dal Musée des Arts Décoratifs di Parigi. I discovered only today the amazing work of a young Berlin-based designer, Esther Perbandt. After getting her degree at IFM in Paris in 2001, she opened her own shop in Berlin in 2003. Since then a growing success, mainly outside Germany, in countries like Japan, Denmark, Switzerland, Canada and… Italy! In her website (www.estherperbandt.com) Esther defines her style as “the interplay between male and female elements, between strength and sensibility”: and it’s a very suitable definition to her garments, where fluid lines meet strong cuts, draped shapes on geometric shapes.
