In the Stables of 104 , the Bless presentation will appear as a game of balance between the models.  With beginners and the more experienced, forming human pyramids of multiple dimensions, these fragile connections evoking children games and circus exercises.  Everything will be dismantled to be remade in a movement, where each person is related to the other, to create an energetic, fluid, and improvised event.  This kind of balance and this spirit is at work in the Bless collection spring/Summer 2010.  Where elements of clothes, cut and reworked, give birth to surprising pieces, both sportswear and classic, loose and structured. Luisaviaroma, historical concept store in Florence now known worldwide, has launched a contest: Follow the Buyer.

You need to send a photo of your best total look, or a look photographed on someone: the important thing is that the image is unpublished and taken personally by the participant.

The winner will participate as a member of the team of buyers Luisaviaroma to the best fashion shows and more exclusive party at the next Paris Fashion Week, also participating in the selection of the best looks of the new collections to be shown in the shop.

All pictures received will be posted on the Facebook page of Luisaviaroma. Each week the best images will be chosen and posted on the blog of Luisaviaroma, Luisa’s News. You have time until January 30, 2010!

While walking in Ny West Village, suddenly I bumped into an antique cinema sign, resembling those typically Parisian “cinema d’essai”.

No fringe projections though; rather the entrance of the always daring Martin Margiela retail concept. Artist’s loft style atmosphere, exposed pipes, attractive downtown guys in white lab coats assisting you.

Definitely the Belgian designer does not need a midtown 500 sqm flagship store to make people talk, but a concept reflecting his quintessential minimal style.

Scott Sternberg is the founder of Band of Outsiderssince January 2004. Boy by Band of Outsiders for the Fall 09 proposes corduroy’s trousers and oversize sweaters. All the pieces seems inspired by French vintage icons. I love the shoes, some sort of “boxer” with heels, a simple mix with a strong sense of style.
