Bond-in Project: thermowelding technology at its best

BOND – IN is a synergic project between companies who use the technology of thermowelding, to realize innovative concepts in the field of fashion and textile design. Promoted by Dyloan Studio on a concept by Pierluigi Fucci, at Pitti Filati BOND-IN presented “from Technology to Knitwear“, a cutting-edge research, applying the thermowelding techniques to the world of knitting. Construction, Bonding and Decorate are the leading concepts. Unexpected combinations made ??possible thanks to the skills of the protagonists of the supply chain.
The thermowelding technology allows to assemble fabrics without the use of sewing, obtaining extremely clean and precise results; it allows to pair materials of very different kinds; it can bring innovation in the construction itself of the garments; it widens the opportunities of finishings on the garments.
The project was supported by the publishing of a book, “BOND-IN From Technology To Fashion” by Dyloan Studio in collaboration with IED Centro Ricerche, concerning the thermowelding technology.
Starting from a time-line that spots the key moments through the evolution of this technology, the book analyzes the system of its micro and macro categories, each completed by technical explications, and pictures of high-fashion brand garments and of their thermowelded details.
The book is meant to have a disclosing function (at the moment no issues upon this theme does exist) and is expected to become a greatly useful working instruments and also for the divulge of this technology.
