AITOR THROUP

If you followed the last editions of the international fashion contest ITS, you’ll probably already know him, otherwise you’ll better keep an eye on him. His name is Aitor Throup, from Argentina, and he’s a talented illustrator and designer, a creative in the true sense of the word: he’s got bright ideas and seems to know perfectly how to realize them. Just to recap: he attended the Royal College of Art in London, where he obviously won the fashion menswear award in 2006. Only after winning many awards in competitions held by the college itself, with his projects for brands like Umbro, Evisu, Levi’s. In the same year he gained the first place as “collection of the year” in ITS#5, and wins also the I-D Styling Award, with a super-structured menswear collection named “When Football Hooligans Became Hindu Gods”. Have a look at his site www.aitorthroup.com and make your own opinion: for me, a genius was born.
