Adrian Mustelin nightspectacles…not just sunglasses
If you’re tired of wearing always the same sunglasses, the same brands and you want to have something similar to a tailored piece of clothing, with a personal design, durable and reparable, then you should try a pair of Adrian Mustelin Spectacles. This finnish designer based in Barcelona says just one thing about himself: “he designs eyewear”, but manufacturing quality eyewear, immaculate in design and durability.
Adrian Mustelin Spectacles’ frames are made of acetate and there’s a Limited Edition too, which spectacles are produced from unique, out-of-stock acetate from between the 1960’s and 1980’s, a very small amount of which was salvaged from an old warehouse. Like all Adrian Mustelin Spectacles’ models, the Limited Edition shades are singularly handcrafted by traditional optician methods. Due to the diminishing amount of their distinctive raw material, each pair of these vintage shades is numbered.
Why “Nightspectacles”? The role of sunglasses has come along way from being a simple means of protection from the sun into a characterizing part in ones style and personality, but this evolution has by no means reached its zenith. As with any fashion article, the choice of spectacles we wear is very much dictated by context. Thanks to advances in lens technology, nighttime and dimly lit interiors are no longer a hindrance. Adrian Mustelin Night Spectacles combine handcrafted acetate frames with pale lenses that contrast dark blue and green environments without altering color perception. In effect the Night Spectacles emphasize visibility of details in diminished light conditions making them the ideal choice for party- and night- time activity.
Simply “génial”, isn’t it?
