Florence is known for its great past and in fashion for the Pitti trade fairs. But today we are telling you about an “ex/new” art gallery set up next to a supermarket where before there was a factory and then a squat: Ex-3.

Directed by Sergio Tossi both the site and the space are quite “livable”, as well the exhibition interactive – as demonstrated by the many kids and dogs taking part at the event, inaugurating two solo exhibition by Eva Marisaldi (and Enrico Serotti) and by Tayo Onorato and Nico Krebs.

We appreciated mostly for its aesthetics and playful attitude two installations by the second couple of artists: a modern pile-dwelling village of the an imaginary smiling and green 1950 Usa and life paint installation created by a community of worms and other insects. This last looked to me as a very good matching print for the latest fashion trends but made me strongly suffer for the poor “slave painters” which must have slowly been stewed during their activity.

In the meanwhile we had fun finding out if also the “visitors” would be creative and contemporary dressed or show out as existentialist’s revivals….what do you think?

Such a great look. Strong, intelligent and feminine at the same time. Cool!
